Job summary

City of Mableton is seeking a Finance Analyst II under the Deputy Finance Director to perform general ledger accounting duties, month-end and year-end close, and GASB compliance. The role includes preparing financial statements, budget variance reports, and ACFR, while maintaining ledgers and performing reconciliations for accurate financial reporting.

The ideal candidate holds a 4-year degree in Accounting or Finance, 2+ years of accounting/financial analysis experience, and strong Excel

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting or financial analysis experience.
• Knowledge of municipal finance, budgeting, and GASB concepts.
• Proficiency in Excel for reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and external regulations.
• Assist with financial statements, budget variance reports and ACFR.
• Support accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, payroll and other subledgers.
• Prepare month-end and year-end close, and perform reconciliations.
• Maintain ledgers, balance sheets, and schedules for auditors.
