City of Mableton is seeking a Finance Analyst II to handle general ledger accounting, month-end and year-end closings, and financial statement preparation under the Deputy Finance Director.

The role requires GAAP/GASB knowledge, strong Excel skills, and the ability to produce clear reports and support audits. You will work with various subledgers and assist with budget variances and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of municipal accounting and GASB standards.
• Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports.
• Experience with reconciliations, cash management, and audit support.

Responsabilités

• Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies.
• Assist with financial statements and management reports such as budget variance reports and ACFR.
• Support accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, payroll, property tax, and other subledgers.
• Monitor revenues, expenditures, and fund balances; maintain ledgers and prepare adjusting entries.
• Perform monthly reconciliations and support external auditors.
• Prepare schedules and work papers for auditors.
• Review daily cash receipts and monitor debt service payments.
• Maintain documentation to ensure policy compliance.
