The position develops short and long-term forecasts, maintains financial ratios, supports budgeting processes, and prepares bank reconciliations, cash forecasts, and public reports for officials and residents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Minimum of 2 years in general ledger accounting (government experience preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years in financial budgeting or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and audit financial records for accuracy.
• Prepare financial reports for City staff, City Council, and the public.
• Assist with development of short and long-term forecasting and budgeting.
• Develop and maintain financial ratios; support systems and procedures.
• Prepare complex bank reconciliations and cash forecasts for each fund.
• Provide training and guidance related to budgeting processes and policy compliance.
