Financial Analyst # Financial AnalystCity of Mableton - MABLETON, GA 30126## OverviewSalary Range$70,000.00 - $104,000.00 SalaryPosition TypeFull TimeEducation Level4 Year DegreeCategoryGovernment## DescriptionPosition Summary: Under the general direction of the Deputy Finance Director, the Finance Analyst II is responsible for general ledger accounting duties for the City of Mableton. Key responsibilities include performing professional level financial analysis and accounting duties in the operations relating to month-end and year-end closing, compliance with GASB, and monthly account reconciliations. This also includes financial statement preparation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, policies, and external regulations.* Assist with financial statements and other management reports such as budget variance reports and ACFR.* Support accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, payroll property tax, and any other subledgers as assigned.* Monitor and analyze revenues, expenditures, and fund balances, grants, and special funds. Maintain the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers by preparing and posting adjusting entries when applicable.* Assist with internal controls and responses to external auditors.* Perform monthly reconciliations for bank, balance sheet, interfund, fixed asset and other account reconciliations.* Maintain accurate documentation and records to ensure compliance with city policies.* Prepare supporting schedules and work papers for auditors.* Reviews and enters daily cash receipts. Monitors and ensures timely payment of all debt service.
