Job summary

GameStop is seeking a Store Manager in New Bern, NC to lead daily store operations, drive sales, and foster a guest‑centered environment. Qualifications

• Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or accredited bachelor’s degree with emphasis in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred.
• At least 1 year retail management experience required.
• At least 3 years retail sales, guest service, and/or management/leadership experience preferred.
• Video game knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead store operations across multiple units.
• Provide and model best-in-class guest service, greet guests, respond to questions, and promote promotions.
• Support store environment, visuals, and guest relationships to drive sales.
• Process guest purchases/returns via POS accurately.
• Recruit, interview, hire, and develop associates.
• Ensure onboarding, training, and compliance prior to shifts.
• Schedule staff and manage labor for optimum guest service.
• Approve payroll and time-off requests; ensure accurate timekeeping.
• Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising per guidelines.
• Protect assets with inventory control and loss prevention practices.
