Job summary

Freeman Webb Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee the upkeep of our properties. You will perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting tasks, keep common areas safe, and assist with inspections and refurbishments prior to residency.

This role requires physical stamina, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work evenings or weekends on standby as needed. You’ll contribute to a team-focused, safety-conscious environment with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; prior maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to read safety rules and write routine reports; basic math skills.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability required.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical repairs on appliances, fixtures, switches, outlets, and circuits.
• Perform plumbing work such as clearing stoppages and replacing fittings.
• Paint interior and exterior surfaces as needed.
• Carry out carpentry tasks: doors, shelves, and flooring refinishing.
• Assist in custodial work in common areas and vacancies.
• Assist in grounds work and periodic maintenance tasks.
• Repair concrete, masonry, roofing, and fencing when required.
• Train other staff and participate in standby emergency coverage.
• Maintain stock of maintenance supplies and secure workshop areas.
