Job summary

Freeman Webb is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the overall upkeep of the physical plant under supervision. The role involves electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, cleaning, and grounds work across properties.

EPA certification is required, and a valid driver’s license is needed for insurability. You will assist in scheduling annual inspections, refurbishing apartments before occupancy, and provide safety-focused maintenance support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; prior maintenance experience preferred.
• EPA Certification required for this position.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable.

Responsibilities

• Participate in maintenance projects across various trades.
• Perform electrical repairs on appliances, fixtures, switches, outlets, circuits, etc.
• Perform plumbing tasks such as clearing stoppages and replacing fittings.
• Repair or replace broken glass, tiles, carpet, screens, fixtures, and locks.
• Paint interior and exterior surfaces.
• Carry out carpentry work including doors, shelves, and flooring refinishing.
• Assist in custodial tasks in common areas and vacancies as needed.
• Assist grounds work when required and maintain grounds policing.
• Repair concrete, masonry, roofing, and fencing as needed.
• Train other staff members and participate in standby emergency schedules.
