Freeman Webb Company is seeking a versatile Maintenance Technician responsible for the overall upkeep of the physical plant under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager. The role covers electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, custodial tasks, and grounds work across apartment communities.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license. Strong reading, writing in English, and safety awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions; write routine reports in English.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all types of maintenance projects.
• Perform electrical repairs on appliances, fixtures, switches, outlets, circuits.
• Perform plumbing work such as cleaning stoppages and replacing fittings.
• Replace broken glass, tile, carpet, screens, doors and locks.
• Paint, interior and exterior; carpentry duties like shelving and floor refinishing.
• Assist in custodial and grounds work as needed.
• Repair concrete, masonry, roofing and fencing when required.
• Train other staff members and participate in standby emergency schedule.
• Ensure stock control and proper use of maintenance materials.
