Job summary

Freeman Webb Company is seeking a maintenance technician to oversee the upkeep of the physical plant under supervision. EPA certification is noted as a requirement for this role, with duties spanning electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and custodial tasks across property facilities.

Responsibilities include scheduling inspections, refurbishing apartments, stocking materials, and supporting grounds and safety programs.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; prior maintenance experience or experience in related field.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions; write routine reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

Participate in all types of maintenance projects.
Perform electrical repairs on appliances, fixtures, switches, outlets, circuits, etc.
Perform plumbing work such as cleaning stoppages and replacing fittings.
Replace broken glass, tile, carpet, screens, fixtures, appliances, draperies and locks.
Paint interior and exterior.
Carpentry such as fitting doors, shelving and refinishing floors.
Assist in custodial work in common areas and vacancies.
Assist in grounds work when necessary.
Repair concrete, masonry, roofing and fencing when required.
Train other staff members.
Standby for evening, weekend and holiday coverage.
Stock control and utilization of maintenance materials.
Schedule annual apartment inspections and refurbish apartments before occupancy.
Perform scheduled maintenance per manufacturer recommendations.
