Job summary

FirstService Residential seeks a Maintenance Tech to perform maintenance and repair work across common area elements, buildings, and recreation facilities. Duties include carpentry, roofing, electrical, plumbing, masonry, painting, and snow removal, plus on-call emergency response.

You will document work orders, inspect for safety, manage supplies, and coordinate with the General Manager. Full-time with comprehensive benefits in a residential community setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Two years of building maintenance and repair experience.
• Ability to read blueprints or plans and follow directions.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and access to own transportation.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry and basic maintenance.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools and maintain logs.

Responsibilities

• Provide regular status updates to the General Manager.
• Monitor inventory and submit requests as needed.
• Perform routine and urgent repairs on common area buildings.
• Respond quickly to emergencies and coordinate safety.
• Maintain budgets and document work orders.
