Job summary

FirstService Residential seeks a Community Maintenance Technician/Custodial Associate to keep the community's common areas, facilities, and recreation center clean, safe, and well-maintained. Responsibilities span carpentry, roofing, electrical, plumbing, and snow removal.

The role requires problem solving, on-site coordination, and consistent record-keeping; requires a valid driver’s license, high school diploma, and two years of maintenance experience. Hourly, full-time with benefits.

Qualifications

• Able to read and understand blueprints or plans.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Two years of building maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry basics.
• Ability to keep logs and logs journals.
• Must be able to operate common tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Provide regular status updates to the General Manager.
• Maintain and inventory custodial supplies and submit requests.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with responders.
• Complete preventative maintenance and inspections.
