Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician Associate to support operations across our properties. You will help keep mechanical systems, equipment, and common areas in excellent, disinfected condition while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities include inspections, repairs across carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and painting, and assisting with general maintenance tasks. The role requires good customer service and teamwork, with a schedule of Sunday to Thursday,

Qualifications

Critical thinking, problem solving, judgement and decision-making abilities are necessary.
Ability to maintain positivity and diplomacy in a fast-paced environment.
Possess strong maintenance and repair skills, painting, carpentry, plumbing and electricity.
Boating experience with boater's safety class preferred.
Customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

Performs routine walking inspections of floors to identify problems and report them to supervisors.
Maintains work equipment in good working condition.
Performs maintenance repairs in the common areas (drywall, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, pool, plumbing, painting, flooring, and other general maintenance).
Ensures all safety precautions are followed while performing work.
While following safety procedures, performs casual labor as directed by supervisors.
Performs maintenance replacement and repair in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, painting, flooring and other minor building repairs where no permit is required.
Must be able to properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to using this equipment.
Other duties as needed.
