Description

Job Overview: As a Maintenance Technician, your primary responsibilities include performing maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities, such as carpentry, roofing, electrical, plumbing, masonry, painting, and snow removal. You will troubleshoot, repair, and report mechanical issues, and may need to move equipment and furniture. Discretion is required to identify when higher-skilled craftspeople are needed. Maintaining work logs and carrying a work cell phone for emergency calls are also part of the role.

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide regular updates to the General Manager
• Monitor and maintain inventory daily, submitting requests as needed
• Take initiative and work independently
• Address problems promptly and decisively
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate safety efforts
• Understand and adhere to budgets
• Conduct community inspections and prepare reports
• Ensure supplies and tools are stored properly
• Perform repairs on buildings and equipment, documenting work orders
• Conduct minor repairs on lighting and other fixtures
• Inspect and replace lights, clean floors, furniture, and fixtures
• Maintain common areas and perform preventative maintenance
• Be courteous and professional with residents

Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to read blueprints or plans
• Valid driver’s license
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• At least two years of maintenance experience
• Ability to follow instructions and keep accurate records
