Job summary

EMCOR Facilities Services has an immediate need for a General Maintenance Worker II in the San Jose/ South Bay area, CA. The technician will report to the Assistant Chief Engineer and lead initiatives to ensure effective delivery of services to dispersed customers through a network of suppliers.

Performs preventive maintenance and repairs across carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC, and related trades to keep client facilities in good condition.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Degree / Certification, or equivalent professional experience in Landscaping, Trades (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, etc) preferred.
• Two to five years mechanical experience, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry required; or equivalent.
• Must possess applicable certifications, licenses, and valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• HVAC EPA Universal License or ET Card / Journeyman Electrical License.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on buildings, equipment, and grounds.
• Completes defined field inspections and service orders; procures materials as needed.
• Works with the Operations Manager to provide written quotes for non-basic work.
• Maintains client relationships and communicates effectively with service delivery teams.
• Participates in on-call rotation after-hours, weekends, and holidays.
