Job summary

EMCOR Facilities Services (EFS) seeks a General Maintenance Worker I to support Stanford Healthcare Center in San Jose, CA. The role reports to the Assistant Chief Engineer and uses multiple trades to ensure timely service delivery, safety, and client satisfaction across assigned facilities.

The candidate will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and routine tasks across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting, leveraging ServiceNow for work orders and reporting.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Two years mechanical experience including electrical, plumbing, carpentry.
• Must have valid driver’s license and required certifications.
• Ability to read safety rules and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment and grounds.
• Conduct field inspections and process work orders with materials.
• Paint, carpentry, and minor plumbing/electrical tasks within scope.
• Utilize technology and ServiceNow for work orders and reporting.
• Meet KPI targets for safety and service delivery.
