Job summary

Columbia Housing Authority is seeking a Maintenance II to perform a wide range of tasks, including ground maintenance, snow removal, and general repairs. The role requires advanced skills across multiple trades and regular interaction with tenants.

You will work under the Director of Facilities and Modernization, be on-call after training, and must have a valid Missouri driver's license. A journeyman level in one or more trades is required, with a master certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Electrical, plumbing, and mechanical experience preferred; licensure a plus.
• Five+ years as a certified journeyman in one or more trades; master certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and corrective maintenance on building surfaces, fixtures, systems, and equipment.
• Maintain grounds care including mowing, trimming, edging, and snow removal.
• Inspect and repair electrical and plumbing systems; test outlets and switches.
• Repair carpentry, masonry, plastering, windows, doors, and cabinetry.
• Operate and maintain grounds equipment and hand tools.
• Join on-call rotation; respond to emergencies after hours.
• Ensure safety and compliance with codes.
