Job summary

TAM Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician to handle work orders, repairs, unit turnovers, and on-call emergencies across a multifamily community in Washington. You will support the Lead Maintenance Technician and Community Manager by carrying out maintenance programs and preventive maintenance initiatives to keep the property well maintained and operating efficiently.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in apartment maintenance required.
• Proficiency with maintenance tools, equipment, and repair techniques.
• Ability to manage a physical workload safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident work orders and repairs promptly and efficiently.
• Estimate time, materials, and scope of repairs when needed.
• Respond to maintenance needs across multiple disciplines (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, etc.).
• Respond to resident requests professionally with excellent customer service.
• Oversee and coordinate work by outside contractors when required.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local laws including Fair Housing regulations.
