Qualifications

• Requires food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards.
• Requires a minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience; high-volume casual dining environment preferred.
• Requires knowledge of soups, sauté, broiler, fry, and pantry.
• Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents; communicate with customers.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds; bend, twist, and stand for job functions.
• Frequent exposure to water and chemical solutions; frequent use of sharp knives and hot plates; hot environment.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and directions for preparing, cooking, tasting, carving and serving food items.
• Tastes products, estimates food requirements, checks production, and requisitions supplies and equipment.
• Cleans and sanitizes work stations and equipment.
• Practices food safety and HACCP compliance.
• Operates various kitchen equipment; measures ingredients; washes, peels, cuts and shreds produce.
• Stocks, dates, rotates, and checks temperature of product.
