HMSHost in Fort Myers seeks a Cook to prepare a range of cooked foods across Fry, Flat Top Griddle, Pantry, and eggs, ensuring high quality for customers and staff. You will communicate ticket times and issues to the manager on duty and maintain a clean, safe kitchen per HACCP guidelines.

The role is non-exempt and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while handling knives and hot equipment. Training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• 1 year of cooking experience in high-volume casual dining.
• Knowledge of soups, sauté, broiler, fry, and pantry.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and policy documents.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving items.
• Estimate food requirements and check production to plan supplies.
• Cleans and sanitizes work stations and equipment.
• Practices HACCP and food safety standards.
• Operates kitchen equipment and handles fruits/vegetables.
• Stocks, dates, rotates, and checks product temperature.
