Job summary

Campbell's Tavern in Williamsburg, VA is seeking a kitchen team member to work on broiler, sauté, banquet and pantry stations. You will use basic cooking methods and prepare soups and sauces as required.

The role requires completing a 2-year culinary apprenticeship or an associate degree, with substitutions possible for relevant restaurant experience. A valid local food handler’s card is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of 2-year culinary apprenticeship or culinary associate degree; substitution allowed for relevant experience.
• Ability to prepare food from recipes with minimal supervision and maintain sanitation standards.
• Demonstrated knowledge of basic cooking techniques.
• With supervision, ability to produce the required quality and quantity of foods.
• Must obtain/maintain Williamsburg James City County food handler’s card; bring active card to interview.

Responsibilities

• Works broiler, sauté, banquet, and pantry stations as necessary.
• Uses basic cooking methods including sautéing, braising, broiling, stewing and baking.
• Prepares soups and sauces.
• Physical requirements include transporting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods.
