Job summary

Colonial Williamsburg Foundation is seeking a skilled cook for restaurant and banquet operations in Williamsburg, VA. The role involves preparing soups, sauces, vegetables, starches, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and various entrees including seafood and poultry to high quality standards.

Employees may enter probationary status with up to 40 hours per week and could become benefit eligible after probation. Previous formal culinary training may substitute for part of the work experience.

Qualifications

• Associate Culinary Degree or Certificate in Culinary Arts from technical school.
• At least 4 years restaurant cooking experience including some broiler work.

Responsibilities

• Prepares soups, sauces, vegetables, and starches.
• Prepares breakfast, lunch, dinner meal periods.
• Prepares seafood, poultry entrees; cooks' meats; broils steaks and seafood to quality standards.
• Assembles entrees.
• Works in restaurant and/or banquet operations.
• Assists in outside catering.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
