Job summary

Colonial Williamsburg Foundation is seeking a full-time cook to prepare soups, sauces, vegetables, and starches for our cafe, restaurant, and banquet operations. You will work across breakfast, lunch, and dinner service and may assist in outside catering.

The role requires an Associate Culinary Degree or certificate and at least four years of restaurant cooking experience, including broiler work; willingness to work nights, holidays, weekends; and physical stamina for standing and lifting.

Qualifications

• Associate Culinary Degree or Certificate in Culinary Arts from technical school.
• At least 4 years restaurant cooking experience including some broiler work.

Responsibilities

• Prepares soups, sauces, vegetables, and starches.
• Prepares breakfast, lunch, dinner meal periods.
• Prepares seafood, poultry entrées; cooks meats; broils steaks and seafood to quality standards.
• Assembles entrées.
• Works in restaurant and/or banquet operations.
• Assists in outside catering.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
