Job summary

Recology is seeking a Payroll Specialist to process weekly and bi-weekly multi-state payroll on site in Sparks, NV. You will ensure timely processing across states, manage garnishments, deductions, and taxes, and partner with HRIS systems to maintain accurate records.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of payroll experience, proficiency with JD Edwards or similar ERP systems, and familiarity with TimeClock Plus and Kronos. A high school diploma is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of related payroll experience including experience running and creating query reports (e.g., Showcase, Hubble reporting).
• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• FPC or CPP certification desired.
• Experience with payroll regulations and multi-state wage and hour rules.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly and biweekly multi-state payroll accurately and timely.
• Handle garnishments, deductions and taxes compliant with laws.
• Review hours for accuracy before import to HRIS.
• Submit payroll files to vendor on time.
• Prepare payroll analyses for management.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to inquiries.
