Pape-Dawson Engineers in San Antonio, TX seeks a Payroll Coordinator to ensure accurate, timely multi-state payroll processing, maintain employee records, review timekeeping data, and assist with benefits and 401(k) administration.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in accounting/finance (or equivalent), 5 years payroll experience, proficiency with ADP/Workday/Paylocity, strong Excel skills, and impeccable attention to detail in handling confidential information.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5 years of payroll administration, payroll coordinator, or related payroll experience
• Experience with ADP, Workday, Paylocity, or a similar payroll platform; Deltek Vantagepoint experience preferred
• Working knowledge of payroll processing, payroll taxes, wage and hour requirements, payroll deductions, benefits administration, and 401(k) contribution processing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and lookup functions
• Ability to follow established procedures and refer exceptions for review
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information accurately
• Ability to organize assigned work, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
• Clear communication and customer service skills

Responsabilidades

• Support biweekly payroll processing for employees across multiple states
• Review timesheets for completeness, accuracy, policy compliance, and required approvals
• Maintain payroll records for new hires, terminations, compensation changes, direct deposit updates, and tax withholding changes
• Assist with payroll tax filings, reporting, and related compliance activities
• Support benefits administration, payroll deductions, and reconciliations
• Process and reconcile 401(k) contributions, employer matches, and loans
• Research payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries, following established procedures and escalating exceptions for review
• Prepare payroll reports and analyze payroll data using Excel
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end payroll activities
• Coordinate with Human Resources, Benefits, and Finance as needed
• Performs other related duties as assigned
