Job summary

Flagship Communities REIT seeks a Maintenance Technician (Manufactured Home Community) with property and/or building maintenance experience. The role involves painting, home remodeling, minor plumbing, electrical work and landscaping, working autonomously while following health and safety guidelines and upholding high standards for residents.

The incumbent will report to the Community Manager and contribute to system upkeep, preventive maintenance and resident services.

Qualifications

Physically able to perform manual labor including lifting, bending and reaching.
Positive attitude and ability to lead and work as part of a team.
Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
Values doing a good job and self-supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

Assist in setting up ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and perform repairs when needed.
Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs as needed.
Perform manual repairs (locks, windows, etc.).
Undertake pest control tasks such as spraying insecticide.
Carry out general upkeep procedures and other assigned tasks.
Keep grounds and landscaping in tip-top shape.
Assist in budget preparation and ensure adherence to it.
Mow, weed eat and hedge trim; perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment.
