Job summary

Simon Property Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Boston, MA, at Copley Place to troubleshoot and repair building systems, perform preventive maintenance and support event setup and operations.

The role requires 2–3 years of maintenance experience, a HS diploma or GED, ability to read drawings, and a valid driver’s license. Physical work, safety adherence and independent work are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred. Technical training a plus.
• 2–3 years of building maintenance experience in carpentry, HVAC, electrical, mechanical or plumbing.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, plans and schematic drawings.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and troubleshoot facility systems: mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing.
• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on interior/exterior areas and infrastructure.
• Operate equipment for preventive maintenance and cleaning of the property.
• Assist other departments for events and operations with carts and layout.
• Maintain safety, logs, inventory, MSDS, supplies and tools.
• Schedule preventive maintenance per management direction.
• Adhere to OSHA and other regulatory standards.
