Job summary

Simon Property Group seeks a skilled facilities maintenance technician for Gloucester Premium Outlets. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and structural systems on the property.

You will perform preventive maintenance, interior/exterior repairs, and routine custodial tasks. The position requires the ability to read plans, follow safety rules, work flexible hours, and transport tools as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 2-3 years building maintenance experience performing carpentry, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing functions
• Ability to read and interpret documents, plans and schematic drawings and comprehend instructions
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, employees, tenants, and outside contacts
• Paint, electrical, plumbing, and drywall skills
• Self-starter with ability to work independently
• Capability to diagnose problems on equipment
• Knowledge of basic electrical systems
• Knowledge of safety rules, hazards and accident prevention measures
• Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Routinely inspects facility, troubleshoots and makes repairs to systems and structural elements
• Performs maintenance/minor repairs including painting, drywall and lighting
• Operates equipment to perform preventive maintenance and keep areas clean
• Assists Marketing and Local Leasing with events and cart placement/repairs
• Follows OSHA and other safety guidelines to ensure a safe workplace
• Schedules and performs preventive maintenance programs as assigned
• Maintains inventory, records, MSDS, supplies, tools
• Inspects air handling units, belts, filters and greases components; keeps logs
• Performs exterior custodial duties as needed and handles trash/recycling
• Performs additional maintenance duties as assigned
