Job summary

Simon Property Group in Concord Mills is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to inspect, repair and maintain the property's mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems.

You will perform interior/exterior upkeep, assist with events, follow OSHA standards and keep logs and inventories up to date.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and trade certs; 2–3 years building maintenance experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Technical/Trade School certifications or training are preferred.
• 2-3 years of building maintenance experience in carpentry, HVAC, electrical, mechanical and plumbing.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, plans and schematics and follow instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, tenants and external contacts.

Responsibilities

• Inspect facilities and troubleshoot/repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Perform maintenance and minor repairs on interior/exterior areas (painting, drywall, lighting, plumbing, etc.).
• Operate equipment for preventive maintenance and keep property clean.
• Assist Marketing and Local Leasing with events, cart placement and repairs.
• Follow OSHA and safety guidelines and maintain logs, records and MSDS files.
• Schedule preventive maintenance programs and manage inventory and tools.
• Perform exterior custodial duties as needed and handle trash/recycling.
• May work additional duties as assigned.
