Job summary

International Paper in Auburn, Maine is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician for 2nd or 3rd shift to maintain and repair plant equipment. The role requires reading mechanical and electrical prints, troubleshooting complex systems, and performing preventive maintenance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will work in a multi-disciplined team, read diagrams, and participate in overtime/shifts as needed to keep production running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Must work safely in an industrial environment.
• Provide problem-solving and coaching to the operating area on a daily basis.
• Demonstrate skills in precision mechanical maintenance, welding, pipefitting, rotating equipment, hydraulics and pneumatics.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, modify, replace and install plant mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Maintain production equipment to optimize runnability via preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical failures and correct them.
• Read and understand mechanical/electrical prints, pneumatic diagrams, and hydraulic diagrams.
• Complete administrative documents and enter time against work orders.
