Job summary

American Woodmark is seeking a maintenance technician to install, maintain, and repair production machinery and facility equipment across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and welding systems. The role involves reading manuals, schematics, and work orders to complete tasks accurately.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues to minimize downtime, follow lockout/tag-out procedures, use hand and power tools, and maintain records in computerized systems while supporting

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of production machines and facility equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and welding systems.
• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, diagnosing and resolving issues to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and work orders to complete tasks accurately.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment, following lockout/tag-out procedures and safety regulations.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure proper adjustments or repairs.
• Operate from elevated platforms and mobile lift equipment as needed.
• Report defective materials, faulty operations, or unusual situations to supervisors.
• Maintain accurate records in computerized maintenance systems and ensure work areas are clean and organized.
• Support company values and continuous improvement efforts by performing additional tasks as assigned by management
