Job summary

International Paper is hiring a Maintenance Technician for Reading, PA. The role involves performing preventive maintenance, repairing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and steam systems, and safely operating the boiler to maintain steam pressure.

You will generate maintenance records and collaborate with team members to keep supervision informed of issues. The position is full-time, on-site at the Reading Box Plant, with shifts from 4pm to 12am or 12am to 8am.

Qualifications

• The ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to accurately use and read a variety of measuring devices.
• Strong electrical, mechanical, and machine shop skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules and perform preventive maintenance tasks (lubricating, wear measurement, position measurement, component repositioning).
• Perform emergency and breakdown maintenance to support plant operations; consult manuals and vendors as needed.
• Accurately use measurement/test equipment.
• Perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam system, and other repairs as needed.
• Safely operate the boiler and maintain adequate steam pressure.
• Prepare and maintain maintenance records and paperwork.
• Troubleshoot and solve problems; collaborate with teammates and keep supervision informed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
