Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain the physical aspects of the property, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and functionality. You will address resident service requests, perform preventative maintenance, and prepare vacant units for leasing.

Responsibilities include inspecting contractor work, managing materials, documenting tasks, and upholding safety standards. EPA refrigerant-certified technicians with a valid driver’s license are preferred; this is an onsite, full-time role

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• All required certifications as per State and Local jurisdictions.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and repairing per policies and codes.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including pre-move-out inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and inspecting work.
• Follows procedures to access materials and track inventory, returning unused items and notifying the maintenance supervisor when re-ordering is needed.
• Completes documentation and paperwork to document and track service requests.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, painting curbs and signage, and removing debris.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing parts instead of replacing them and using tools and materials efficiently.
