Job summary

Siemens in Wendell, NC is seeking an Operations Safety Manager to lead and strengthen safety across EA manufacturing plants. You will partner with plant managers and EHS teams to integrate safety into daily operations and projects.

The role requires a BS in EHS or related field, 8+ years of safety experience, and willingness to travel up to 25%. Relocation assistance is available and sponsorship is not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety, occupational safety, engineering, industrial technology, or a related field.
• Eight or more years of experience in a technical EHS or operational safety role within manufacturing or industrial operations.
• Five to eight years of experience leading safety programs, projects, or teams across functions or locations.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry safety standards.
• Experience recognizing, evaluating, and controlling hazards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to influence plant and operations leaders without direct authority.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to develop procedures and present to leadership.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and coordinate across geographically dispersed sites.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly to EA manufacturing plants and attend EHS meetings or conferences as required.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Champion a Zero Harm culture across all EA plants.
• Provide operational safety leadership and technical support to multiple sites.
• Develop and execute a multi-site operational safety strategy.
• Establish, standardize, and improve safe work practices across EA plants.
• Lead or support risk assessments for production processes and equipment.
• Support safety-by-design for new equipment and capital projects.
• Strengthen critical safety programs (machine safety, lockout/tagout, electrical safety).
• Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are shared across sites.
• Develop safety metrics and dashboards to identify trends and improve accountability.
• Facilitate cross-site learning and share best practices.
• Conduct site assessments, audits, and field observations.
• Provide coaching on regulatory requirements.
• Support safety training and leadership engagement.
