Job summary

Lincoln Property Company is seeking a Mobile Building Engineer I to maintain and troubleshoot building systems across a portfolio of properties, ensuring tenant comfort and reliable operation of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and respond to on-call emergencies while collaborating with engineers for consistent service delivery.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of job-related experience or commensurate certification/trade experience.
• Valid state driver’s license required; engineering/trade licenses per local/state rules.
• CFC Certification preferred.
• Developing advanced proficiency in HVAC troubleshooting and BAS operation across multiple properties.
• Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook and laptop/phone applications for work orders and training.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks across multiple properties, including plumbing repairs, basic electrical work, and HVAC troubleshooting.
• Conduct property inspections, including lighting audits, roof inspections, and parking lot checks.
• Address unscheduled maintenance calls, such as plumbing emergencies and tenant comfort issues.
• Maintain inspection records for building equipment and report abnormalities to supervisors.
• Monitor service contractors for outsourced repairs and maintenance; travel between sites using company vehicles.
• Develop advanced proficiency in HVAC troubleshooting and energy management systems; gain BAS experience across properties.
• Follow safety protocols, use PPE, and ensure OSHA/NFC/NFPA compliance; participate in safety audits.
• Participate in on-call rotations to respond to emergencies across properties; mentor junior technicians.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
