Job summary

Redwood Living, Inc. in Detroit, MI, seeks a Neighborhood Service Specialist to provide hands-on maintenance, on-site support, and guidance to neighborhood teams, ensuring standards and resident satisfaction.

You will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, onboarding of new technicians, and coordinate with Regional Managers; the role requires strong troubleshooting, safety compliance, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic multi-site environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Trade certification preferred.
• EPA/HVAC certification required or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 3 years relevant work experience required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Troubleshooting ability required.

Responsibilities

• Fill in at sites with Service Technician vacancies.
• Onboard and support new Service Technicians with policy and procedure.
• Perform site inspections under regional guidance.
• Obtain bids, interview contractors, and support special projects.
• Repair and maintain facilities, buildings, grounds, and equipment at Neighborhoods.
• Perform light plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and finishing tasks.
