Job summary

KCRA 3 & My58 Television in Sacramento, CA, seeks an Account Executive to sell multiplatform advertising solutions with a focus on new business development. This in-person role reports to the Local Sales Manager and requires strong presentation and interpersonal skills.

The ideal candidate has media sales experience or a proven track record in new business development, with proficiency in MS Office and the ability to cultivate local relationships to influence ad purchases.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales or marketing in media is preferred.
• Proven track record of generating new business.
• Accountability in a goal-driven environment.
• Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; knowledge of Wide Orbit, Kantar or WO Media Office is a plus.
• Military training/experience may substitute media sales experience.
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or broadcasting is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed revenue targets across multiple platforms.
• Prospect and develop new accounts; drive new business development.
• Build local relationships to influence advertising decisions.
• Develop and present sales strategies for TV and digital platforms.
• Create account plans to grow revenue from existing clients.
• Use research to support marketing solutions and client goals.
• Stay updated on industry trends and client business news.
• Report progress to sales management.
