Job summary
Consor is seeking a Traffic Engineering Designer to work on complex transportation projects, providing technical support in traffic operations, traffic control, and safety-related design. You will apply engineering judgment and collaborate with project engineers and managers to deliver accurate, efficient, and constructible traffic design solutions.
The role requires a BS in civil engineering with an emphasis in transportation design, EIT certification, and 2+ years of related experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in civil engineering with transportation emphasis.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
- 2+ years of directly related experience required.
Responsibilities
- Deliver traffic engineering design plans, specs, and cost estimates.
- Design traffic control systems including signals, signing, markings, lighting, and work zones.
- Perform traffic engineering calculations and analyses per standards and client needs.
- Coordinate design activities with multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior staff.
- Assist project engineers with QA/QC reviews, schedule tracking, and deliverables coordination.
- Support intersection, corridor, and multimodal studies related to design implementation.
