Job summary

Matson Logistics, Inc. in Downers Grove, IL, is seeking a Logistics Solutions Specialist - Highway to be the day-to-day contact for customers, handling order execution, shipment monitoring, and service delivery.

You'll communicate clearly with customers and internal teams to ensure on-time performance. You will work with sales, pricing, and planning to select best truckload or intermodal options, enter orders via multiple channels, monitor shipments, billable charges and ensure accurate

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; a four-year degree in business or transportation is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service orientation with professional demeanor.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, service-critical environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office and accurate data entry.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for customers regarding tender acceptance and order creation.
• Ensure complete order entry via EDI, web tender, email, fax, or phone.
• Manage daily load acceptance and provide timely status updates.
• Identify options and price/margin for quotes to support revenue growth.
• Monitor shipments from pickup to delivery and resolve issues.
• Review invoices and determine billable accessorial charges.
• Collaborate with Sales, Pricing, Accounting, and Planning teams.
• Escalate issues and comply with policies.
