Job summary

Matson Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Logistics Solutions Specialist in Illinois to serve as the daily contact for customers, handling order execution, shipment monitoring, and issue resolution.

You will ensure accurate order entry via multiple channels and maintain clear communication with customers and internal teams. You will collaborate with Sales, Pricing, Accounting, and Planning to align with customer expectations and revenue goals, while managing service quality and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; four-year degree in business or transportation preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and professional demeanor.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, service-critical environment.
• Knowledge of MS Office and accurate data entry/manipulation.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing customer needs and workload.
• Infrequent travel to customer sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for customers regarding tender acceptance, order creation, shipment status, and service issues.
• Ensure complete and accurate order entry via EDI, web tender, email, fax, or phone.
• Monitor shipments from pickup through delivery and provide status updates.
• Identify and respond to disruptions; implement contingency actions to minimize impact.
• Review invoices, determine billable accessorials, and ensure timely invoicing.
• Collaborate with Sales, Pricing, Accounting, and Planning teams to align with strategy.
