Job summary

Matson Logistics in Downers Grove, IL, is seeking a Logistics Solutions Specialist to handle day-to-day order execution, shipment monitoring, and service delivery, ensuring clear communication with customers and internal teams.

You will manage tender entries via EDI and multiple channels, evaluate costs and margins for quotes, monitor shipments, resolve issues, and partner with Sales, Pricing, Accounting, and Planning to support revenue growth.

Qualifications

• Extremely strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, service-critical environment.
• Knowledge of MS Office and data entry accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for customers regarding tender acceptance, order creation, shipment status, and service issues.
• Ensure complete and accurate order entry via EDI, web tender, email, fax, or phone.
• Manage daily load acceptance and provide timely updates and status reports to customers.
• Receive shipment requirements and identify competitive truckload or intermodal options.
• Establish margin expectations for quotes while remaining competitive and supporting revenue growth.
• Monitor shipments from pickup through delivery and respond to disruptions.
