Job summary

Universal Processing is seeking a Merchant Consultant who will be the brand ambassador to clients, introducing payment and marketing solutions. The role is sales-driven, goal-oriented, and requires resilient, people-oriented candidates.

You will generate leads, conduct client meetings, and close deals while expanding referrals and partnerships. The ideal candidate will be bilingual (English plus Mandarin-Chinese or Vietnamese or Spanish) and have 2–4 years in sales or customer service.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the US at time of hire; E-Verify employer.
• Bilingual English and Mandarin-Chinese or Vietnamese or Spanish; read/write.
• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2–4 years of sales or customer service experience.
• Merchant Service industry experience is a plus.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, detail-oriented, and analytical abilities.
• Self-motivated; able to work independently and drive results.

Responsibilities

• Generates leads, cold-calls, and prospects potential clients.
• Conducts in-person meetings to determine customer needs and presents payment, merchant financing and marketing solutions.
• Performs pricing analysis by assessing clients’ payment processing statements and proposes accordingly.
• Follows up with potential merchants by reviewing product features, benefits, and terms.
• Closes sales in a timely and effective manner.
• Navigates lead sources; develops and maintains new sources.
• Develops new sales opportunities within existing client base.
• Builds and maintains relationships with referrals and affiliates.
• Creates and develops marketing programs to increase sales.
