Job summary

MPI is seeking a Construction Project Manager in Cleveland to lead multifamily developments from preconstruction through closeout. You will manage planning, scheduling, procurement, budgeting, and reporting, while directing field teams and coordinating with owners, architects, and subcontractors.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and value engineering, with opportunities to drive projects on time and within budget for a premier construction organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager.
  • Significant experience managing multifamily construction projects.
  • Strong communication, leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of multifamily construction projects from preconstruction through project closeout.
  • Lead project planning, scheduling, procurement, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Drive project execution to ensure schedule milestones and budget targets are achieved.
  • Oversee subcontractor management, contract administration, and supplier coordination.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, consultants, and project stakeholders.
  • Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Collaborate closely with Superintendents and field teams to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.
  • Monitor project costs, forecasting, and risk management activities.
  • Lead project meetings and communicate project updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and company procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for value engineering and process improvement.
  • Deliver successful project outcomes while maintaining exceptional client satisfaction.

Profile
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager
  • Significant experience managing multifamily construction projects, apartment developments, mixed-use projects, or large commercial developments
  • Strong understanding of concrete construction, structural systems, project scheduling, and construction operations
  • Experience managing project budgets, contracts, subcontractors, and client relationships
  • Proficiency with project management and construction software platforms
  • Strong communication, leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
  • Track record of delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget
