Job summary

MPI seeks a Project Executive to lead and grow its Multifamily Construction division, providing strategic oversight across multiple projects and project teams. The role focuses on executive oversight, leadership, and profitability across a portfolio of multifamily developments.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years with a commercial GC, strong financial management, and proven ability to mentor teams while driving project success. Competitive compensation and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience with a commercial General Contractor.
  • Experience as a Senior Project Manager, Operations Manager, Project Executive, or similar leadership role.
  • Significant multifamily construction experience.
  • Proven ability to oversee multiple projects and project teams concurrently.
  • Strong financial management, forecasting, and budgeting skills.
  • Excellent client-facing communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Experience leading large project teams and mentoring developing professionals.
  • Strong understanding of preconstruction, project execution, and operational best practices.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive oversight for multiple multifamily construction projects simultaneously.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and project teams.
  • Manage client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Drive project performance related to schedule, budget, quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
  • Oversee project financials, forecasting, and overall portfolio profitability.
  • Participate in business development efforts and support new client acquisition.
  • Collaborate with preconstruction teams during project pursuit and planning phases.
  • Review and approve project budgets, schedules, and strategic execution plans.
  • Identify project risks and proactively implement solutions.
  • Support contract negotiations, change management, and dispute resolution when necessary.
  • Work closely with company leadership to execute operational and growth initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence.
