Job summary

Abode Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician at the Casa Dominguez site in East Rancho Dominguez, CA 90221. The role supports property upkeep, completes resident service requests, and coordinates with the Community Manager and contractors to keep the property in excellent condition.

You will perform repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance while responding to after-hours emergencies and maintaining logs and inventory.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years general maintenance experience in plastering, painting, plumbing, carpentry.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor property maintenance and repairs as assigned by the Community Manager.
• Prioritize, schedule and complete resident service requests for unit repairs and janitorial duties.
• Coordinate and monitor progress of vendors or outside contractors.
• Inspect property daily and report needed repairs to the Community Manager.
• Respond to after-hours and weekend maintenance emergencies.
