Job summary

Avanath Capital is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our communities in top condition and deliver outstanding resident experiences. You will handle preventive maintenance, respond to service requests, and ensure make-ready units are ready for leasing while maintaining common areas with a focus on safety and quality.

The role requires hands-on skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and appliances, plus on-call availability and strong customer service aptitude.

Qualifications

• 2 years of multifamily maintenance experience is highly desired.
• Hands-on maintenance skills including plumbing, electrical, general carpentry, HVAC, appliances, pools, etc.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification is highly desired; CPO is a plus.
• Availability to be on-call to address emergencies.
• Reliable transportation.
• Superior customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service with every interaction and deliver high-quality maintenance service.
• Complete assigned work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance.
• Finish make-ready inspections and prepare vacant units for leasing, including punch lists and coordinating vendors.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities through cleaning and minor repairs.
• Assist in cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts where feasible and track inventory.
