Job summary

American Property Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our on-site team at a 264-unit garden-style community in Oregon. The role focuses on preparing units for rent, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring safety and curb appeal in daily operations.

You will work Tuesday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm and Saturday 8am-5pm, with potential additional hours. Must live within 30 miles of the property and have reliable transportation; relocation optional prior to start date.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience in multifamily or hotel maintenance within the last 10 years; 2+ years preferred.
• Experience in unit turn process from start to finish.
• Experience tracking and maintaining inventory.
• Provide your own basic hand tools – company provides power tools.
• HVAC certification preferred.
• Reliable transportation required.
• CPO certification preferred.
• Fluent in English with strong reading, speaking, and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in getting units rent ready and abide by safety requirements.
• Safely use chemicals and equipment as part of daily duties.
• Maintain grounds, work and storage areas to ensure curb appeal.
• Paint and clean as needed to ensure timely unit turnover.
• Ensure lawns are mowed and entryways are clear of debris.
• Ensure equipment is serviced regularly for safe operation.
• Be on-call for emergencies or snow removal.
• Follow all company policies and procedures in the Operations Manual.
