Job summary

Thrive Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our properties in Portland, OR. This 100% in-person role requires performing unit turns, routine repairs, and preventive maintenance with a focus on safety and resident satisfaction.

Two full-time schedules are available (Mon-Fri or Tue-Sat, 8 am–5 pm); after-hours emergency on-call is required. Benefits include 34 paid days off and comprehensive coverages. Must supply your own tools and have a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a maintenance role
• 1+ years in multifamily property management preferred
• Intermediate experience in unit turns and appliance repair
• Must have basic computer skills to input data and notes in English
• CAMT and CPO certifications are a plus
• Must supply own tools
• Driver's license may be required on some sites

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance tasks such as unit turns and work orders
• Partners with leasing staff and managers to ensure communication and organization
• Schedules and performs routine preventative maintenance on equipment and tools
• Participates in safety meetings and follows OSHA/SDS safety requirements
• Diagnoses and performs routine maintenance and repairs within homes and throughout the property
• Maintains grounds and professional appearance of the property
• Inspects and coordinates make-ready repairs and services
• Emergency on-call is required
• Strives to exceed residents’ expectations for customer service
• Performs additional duties as directed by supervisors or management
