Job summary

IPM is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support our multifamily properties in the York, Pennsylvania area. You will handle a variety of tasks—from plumbing to drywall—while keeping units and common spaces in excellent condition for residents.

The role emphasizes independent troubleshooting, clear communication with residents and managers, and reliable coverage on an on-call rotation as part of a tight-knit team. We provide health options, retirement plan, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance experience in multifamily, residential, or commercial settings.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks regularly.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on residential units and common areas (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, drywall, painting, flooring, carpentry, doors, locks, windows, fixtures).
• Prepare units for new residents through repairs, painting, and inspections; report larger capital repair needs.
• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance and inspect building systems; maintain logs and work orders.
• Maintain appearance of common areas and assist with landscaping, snow removal, and trash removal; monitor safety hazards.
• Coordinate with property management and outside vendors; ensure quality of contracted work and communicate repair status.
• Follow safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and fair housing regulations; respond to after-hours emergencies on-call.
