Job summary

MAA is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician in Arlington, VA. The role involves general maintenance and repair to keep apartment homes and facilities in good order, including HVAC troubleshooting, electrical and plumbing work, and completing preventative maintenance.

You will pre pare homes for move-in and follow up with residents after repairs. Required are 1-3 years in multifamily maintenance or related fields, HVAC experience, EPA Type II or EPA Universal certification either at hire

Qualifications

• One to three years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, and/or mechanical repair.
• HVAC experience required.
• EPA Type II or EPA Universal certification required at hire or within 90 days of start date.
• Valid driver's license from the state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair to ensure apartment homes and property facilities are in good working order.
• Prepare apartments for move-in, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC units, electrical appliances, outlets and light fixtures.
• Repair plumbing, carpentry and locks; follow a preventative maintenance schedule and follow up with residents after repairs.
