Job summary

MAA is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician in the Richmond area to perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance on apartment homes and property facilities. You will diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry issues, and prepare units for move-in while ensuring high standards of quality.

Applicants should have 1–3 years of multifamily property maintenance experience, EPA Type II or EPA Universal certification (or willing to obtain within 90 days), and a valid

Qualifications

• One to three years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, and/or mechanical repair.
• HVAC experience required
• EPA Type II or EPA Universal required at hire or within 90 days of start date
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair to ensure apartments and facilities are in good working order.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC units and electrical, plumbing, and carpentry issues.
• Follow a preventative maintenance schedule and communicate with residents after repairs are complete.
